METRO operates spacious parking lots with high sales potential at several locations. However, the increasing number of parking offenders made it difficult to use these spaces efficiently. This affected both the availability for paying customers and the value of the parking spaces as an asset. Modern parking space control
The METRO parking spaces have been equipped with a camera-based monitoring system that records every entry and exit and automatically calculates the parking time. If the permitted parking time is exceeded, an automated penalty is issued. This system minimizes unauthorized use, increases availability for METRO customers - especially at peak times - and creates a smooth, trouble-free environment. Even the Avanti petrol station located on the site has been integrated into the system to guarantee a seamless process for all users.
Digital parking space management
Management takes place via a central dashboard that provides METRO managers with real-time insights into the use of their parking spaces. Permissions for employees, suppliers or other authorized persons can be assigned in a targeted and flexible manner. Temporary parking authorizations, e.g. for suppliers, can be adjusted with minimal administrative effort, which significantly increases operational efficiency.
Data analysis for strategic planning
Integrated data analysis provides valuable insights into capacity utilization, customer origin and the proportion of electric vehicles. This data supports decisions, such as the installation of charging points, and is used for strategic capacity planning. This analysis also helps to ensure optimal parking space dimensioning when developing new locations.

The hardware required for parking space management remains the property of Wemolo GmbH for the duration of the contract and is therefore not purchased by you. Wemolo is responsible for the reliable operation of the hardware.
Wemolo can find a solution for almost any parking space. In a non-binding consultation, we will be happy to show you what needs to be considered in your parking area. In principle, clearly recognizable entrances and exits, a power connection (230V) and good data reception (LTE/5G) are advantageous.
The license plate scanners are installed near the driveway. The exact position varies from location to location. Our license plate scanners have a range of up to 100m and can scan a width of approx. 12m. They can therefore be mounted on facades, lamp posts or roofs.
Third-party and long-term parkers who park their vehicles without authorization are detected by our system and automatically receive a penalty notice.
General terms and conditions and information signs are installed in every parking space to draw attention to the fact that this is a customer parking space with a corresponding maximum parking time. The corresponding contractual penalty for non-compliance is also clearly visible. In paid parking areas, these signs are supplemented by others that explain the parking process using the digital system. The signs are large and clearly visible at the entrances and exits and in the parking area. Vehicle owners agree to the T&Cs by driving into the parking lot.
Our digital parking space surveillance uses electronic means to monitor your parking spaces. Cameras use AI-based software to reliably record the license plates of all vehicles - without the need for a barrier.
