Why do I have to pay if the barrier is open?

The parking of the future works with license plate scanners. This is practical because there will be no more
lost tickets or traffic jams if the barriers do not open. Nevertheless, barriers
are important, for example to close the parking lot at night. Also, there are sometimes leftovers from the
old system. Please always check the signs that are posted to find out what to do here
. Incidentally, this applies not only to us, but to all parking lots with license plate scanners.
It's better to look around once too often before you get annoyed later.

How do I operate the machine?

Our user interface on the pay station will guide you through the process. It is important that you follow this exact sequence: enter the license plate number, scan the optional voucher, select
payment method and then pay by card or cash. Read everything carefully and take your time.

There is no ticket machine and I don't have a cell phone with me. What can I do?

No problem! We understand this and give you the option of paying for your parking at
within 24 hours of leaving the car park. You will need a

. In this way, we ensure that every customer can pay for their parking properly.

The printer is not working. How do I get a receipt?

We're sorry to hear that. You can take a picture of the receipt from the screen with your cell phone. Or send us an email to help@wemolo.de at any time and we'll send you the receipt.

Why is my license plate not recognized?

It is important that you enter your license plate number correctly. Sometimes you are stressed and make
a typing error, or are there with another car. You must enter your license plate number including all
letters and numbers without spaces or hyphens. Please go to

I just accidentally drove into the parking lot and drove right out again. Is there any goodwill?

We grant you a grace period of 5 minutes.

What does the daily maximum refer to?

This is the maximum price you pay per day. For example: One hour of parking costs €1.00.
The daily maximum at this parking lot is €5.00. If you now park for 8 hours, you will only pay
the daily maximum of €5.00 instead of €8.00.

How exactly does the free-flow system work?

First you drive your car into the parking lot. Our scanner records your license plate number and remembers the entry time. You park your car and enjoy your stay. It is important that you do not go to the machine at the beginning, but only at the end of your visit. After you have enjoyed your stay, you must pay for your parking. You can do this on the website or go to the pay machine (except for digital parking lots without a pay machine). The process is simple: enter the license plate number you used to drive in at the machine. Your parking process will then be displayed. You can now optionally scan your parking voucher. If you still have a remaining amount displayed, you can pay this in cash or by card. To do this, please press the corresponding button. After you have paid, a green screen will appear. What happens if I park in the same parking lot twice a day?

When you drive into a parking space in the morning, your parking process starts. When you drive out, it ends. This is a closed parking process. If you come back in the afternoon, it is the second parking process, which must be paid for separately or validated with a voucher. If you have not yet paid for the first parking session, you must also pay for this one.

Can I enter and exit several times after paying the daily maximum?

Unfortunately not. When you leave the parking lot, your parking process ends. Even with a day ticket, you end your parking process and then have to buy a new ticket.

Can I also pay at the ticket machine afterwards?

Yes, the parking process is open for payment in the pay station for 24 hours. However, if you drive into the parking lot again to pay, you may have to pay for two parking processes.

Can I park here for several days?

This depends on the conditions and opening hours of the parking lot, which you will always find signposted on site. For longer, planned stays, please visit book.wemolo.de and book a parking space. There you will find an overview of our long-term parking spaces.

Why don't I automatically park for free as a customer?

As a paying customer, you will receive a parking voucher or printed receipt in participating stores. A QR code or barcode is printed on this voucher. You can scan this code with your smartphone or redeem it at the pay machine.

I am a paying customer and have received a parking voucher. How do I redeem it?

If you make a purchase for a certain amount, you will receive a parking voucher. You can redeem this parking voucher at the pay station after you have entered your license plate number. Alternatively, you can use the camera on your smartphone, scan the QR code and activate your parking process in the browser.

When paying online, it says "Redeem voucher", but where is my voucher number?

If you are discounting with a receipt, you can enter the barcode here. To get a discount with a parking voucher or receipt with TSE code, scan the QR code on the parking voucher with your cell phone or tablet. The voucher is then stored before the license plate number is entered.

I am a gym member, how do I park for free?

As a gym member, you have the option of discounting your parking time. To do this, you must activate your license plate number at the gym.

The queue at the ticket machine is long. But I want to leave within the free time. What can I do?

If you are within the free parking time, you can simply drive out without contacting the machine. You will find information about the free parking time on the signage on site. Please note: You really must stay under the time limit. It is best to always check your parking process at pay.wemolo.de

How can I pay my parking fees correctly?

We offer various options, depending on what you prefer. It is important that you always pay just before you leave. This ensures that we record your entire parking time. You can pay in cash, by card or by placing your cell phone on our pay machine on site. Alternatively, you can pay online at pay.wemolo.de shortly before leaving or conveniently up to 24 hours afterwards.

How can I pay for my parking?

This always depends on various factors. For example, the country of the parking lot. If there is a pay machine in the parking lot, you can pay with cash and card. In Switzerland also with TWINT (only on pay.wemolo.ch). If you pay with cash, the machine will not change. In addition, and whenever there are no cash machines, you can pay online at pay.wemolo.de. Either by smartphone or at home on your computer. Tablet works too! You can pay online by credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

What happens if I drive out without paying?

No problem! You can visit our website at pay.wemolo.de and pay there with your license plate number up to 24 hours after leaving. If you see outstanding parking fees, pay conveniently by credit card or Apple Pay. We will send the receipt to your e-mail if you wish. Why can't I get change?

Unfortunately, our ticket machines do not accept bills or give change. We therefore recommend paying with cash.

Can I pay with VISA or MasterCard?

Yes, you can pay with VISA as well as other major credit cards. We accept a variety of credit cards, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express and other international credit cards. Payment by credit card is a convenient and secure option that is available at many of our parking lots. Your credit card will be authorized online or at the pay station during the payment process and the corresponding amount will be debited from your credit card account.

Can I pay with Apple Pay?

Yes, we support Apple Pay. This allows you to pay your parking fees easily and securely via your smartphone. All you have to do is enter your payment method in the relevant app and you can then pay conveniently by cell phone when paying online. Is it possible to rent a parking space on a long-term basis?

Yes, we offer the option of long-term parking at some of our parking facilities. This is ideal for commuters, residents or anyone who wants to use the same parking space regularly. What do I do if I have a trailer and two license plates?

If you do not park your trailer in the parking area without your car, no parking fee is due for a trailer. If this happens by mistake, please contact us at help@wemolo.de with the relevant details.

What do I do with a motorcycle or scooter?

Motorcycles and scooters are also subject to charges. The regular parking fee must be paid for these.

What do I do with a bicycle?

Bicycles can of course be parked here free of charge.

Will I be filmed by the camera as I enter and exit the vehicle?

The scanner only records the license plate number. There is no permanent video recording. Recognition only takes place when a license plate is in the scanner's field of vision. The camera cannot see who was driving the vehicle and who is sitting in the vehicle.

What data is collected? And is this permitted in Germany?

An image of the vehicle's license plate is captured along with a written record containing time and date markers to determine the duration of the parking. It is important to emphasize that no video recording is made. No information is collected from public property. The recording of license plates is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What happens to my data?

When entering the premises, only the license plate is recorded without the identity of the vehicle owner being known at this time. We can only clarify this identity by contacting the Federal Motor Transport Authority and only in the event of a parking violation. If there is no violation, the entry and exit data is automatically deleted. This data is stored and processed in Germany.

Is there permanent video surveillance?

The license plate scanner is not used for video surveillance. It only takes a picture of the vehicle license plate as soon as a vehicle is detected.

How can you tell if license plate scanners are being used in a parking lot?

The presence of license plate scanners is indicated by clearly visible signage at the entrance and on the parking area.

Does license plate recognition also work in poor lighting conditions?

Yes, license plate recognition also works in the dark thanks to infrared support.

Who is Wemolo?

We are a Munich-based company that digitizes parking spaces and wants to actively shape the future of parking. As new technology is not always immediately understandable, we make every effort to ensure that you have a chance to pay for your parking correctly.

How does the system work in the parking lot?

Our parking system is based on digital registration of the license plate number when entering and leaving the parking space. This enables fair and precise time recording so that you can park and pay conveniently without parking disks, ticket inspectors or barriers. In this way, we prevent queues at barriers and ticket loss.
